Short answers about converting airtime with AirtimeSpot.
How does airtime to cash work?
In the app you enter the airtime amount and the M-Pesa number for your cash. The app shows what you will receive, you confirm, and the airtime is sent from your SIM. Once it is received, the cash is sent to your M-Pesa.
Why do I need the app?
The app sends the airtime directly from your own Safaricom SIM, so you never need to dial codes or type our receiving number. That keeps each conversion accurate and traceable.
Which phones and networks are supported?
Android phones running Android 8 or newer, with a Safaricom line. Other networks are not supported yet.
How much can I convert?
From Ksh 10 to Ksh 10,000 per transaction.
How do I know how much I will get?
The app shows the exact M-Pesa amount as you type, and again on the confirmation before you send.
Can the cash go to a different M-Pesa number?
Yes. Turn off "Use this same number for M-Pesa" in the app and enter the number that should receive the cash.
What if the send fails?
The app tells you why, for example when the airtime balance is too low. A failed send does not move any airtime.
Can I buy airtime or convert Bonga Points?
Not yet. Those services will open on this site when they are ready.
