Airtime to Cash
Convert airtime in the app
Converting airtime to cash happens in the AirtimeSpot app, so the airtime is sent safely from your own SIM. Download it to get started.
What you need
- An Android phone running Android 8 or newer.
- A Safaricom line with the airtime you want to sell.
- An M-Pesa number to receive the cash. It can be the same line or another one.
- Amounts from Ksh 10 to Ksh 10,000 per transaction.
Installing the app
- Tap Download the app on your phone.
- Open the downloaded file. If Android asks, allow installs from your browser.
- Open AirtimeSpot, allow phone access, and choose your Safaricom SIM.
- Enter your mobile number and the M-Pesa number for your cash.
Inside the app
Enter the amount
Type the airtime to sell. You see the M-Pesa amount straight away.
Check and confirm
A confirmation shows the SIM, both numbers and both amounts. Tap Send.
Get your cash
When your airtime is received, the cash is sent to your M-Pesa.
